As an Apple Music subscriber, you might have wished to stream your favorite tunes on your Roku streaming device. Even though Roku doesn’t have a built-in Apple Music app, you can still access Apple Music on Roku by using the AirPlay feature. Here’s a guide on how to activate Apple Music on Roku.
Step 1: Make sure your Roku device is compatible with AirPlay 2. Currently, AirPlay 2 is available on Roku TV models, Roku Smart Soundbar, and Roku Streambar. If you have one of these devices, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Connect your Roku device and your iOS device to the same Wi-Fi network.
Step 3: Launch the Apple Music app on your iPhone or iPad, and play the song you want to stream on your Roku device.
Step 4: Swipe up from the bottom of your iOS device to open the Control Center.
Step 5: Tap on the Screen Mirroring icon and select your Roku device from the list of available devices.
Step 6: Your iOS device screen will now appear on your Roku device. You can now listen to your favorite tunes on your Roku device.
Step 7: To stop streaming, simply tap on the Screen Mirroring icon again, and select Stop Mirroring.
