If you’re trying how to connect Roku remote to TV, it’s easier than you think. Whether you have a standard or enhanced remote, there are only a few steps involved.
Step 1: Install Batteries in the Remote
Before connecting your remote, you must install batteries in the back of the device first. If your remote requires two AAA batteries, make sure both are properly placed and secure before continuing with the setup process.
Step 2: Determine if You Have an IR or Bluetooth Remote
Once you’ve installed the batteries, determine what type of remote you have – infrared (IR) or Bluetooth. To find out which one is yours, look at the back of your remote. A Bluetooth remote will have a button with a Bluetooth icon near the batteries, while an IR remote won’t have any buttons or visible features on the back.
Step 3: Connect Your Remote to the Roku Player
If you have an IR remote, simply point it directly at your Roku player and press any button on the remote. The player should respond by lighting up or displaying a message on the screen. If you have a Bluetooth remote, press and hold down the pairing button located near the batteries for three seconds until the LED light begins flashing rapidly. Then open up your TV’s Bluetooth settings and search for available devices. Select “Roku” from the list of devices and the connection should automatically be established.
Step 4: Connect Your Remote to Your TV
For IR remote users, your remote is now connected and ready to use with your Roku player. If you have a Bluetooth remote, you will need to complete one additional step – connecting the remote to your TV. To do this, press the pairing button again for three seconds until the LED light flashes rapidly. Then open up your TV’s Bluetooth settings and search for available devices. Select “Roku” from the list of devices and the connection should automatically be established.
Now that you’ve successfully connected your Roku remote to your TV, it’s time to start streaming all of your favorite movies, shows, and more! Enjoy!
